Intimate & Authentic Wedding Photography

I would describe my photography "style" as documentary with an editorial twist. That means I know when to step back and when to gently guide for the best images. I love capturing raw emotions and genuine personalities because that’s what makes us connect with a photo. It’s not perfection - the perfect composition or ideal lighting; it’s the feeling a photo brings. It’s the representation of a person or a moment that feels truly authentic.

Polished, not over-processed

My history as a retoucher means I know how to edit a photo to look great without it looking over-processed. I want your photos to feel real, authentic, and true to your memories, whilst also looking subtly cinematic. I want to provide the beautiful nostalgia of analogue film, but with all the benefits that come with digital photography.

Timeless with a modern edge

My real "superpower" though, is my ability to forge connections with my couples. To make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and totally at ease during your photos. I like to think I build real relationships, not transactions. You're relationship with your photographer is a vital part of how much you enjoy your day - after all, we're around each other a lot! Your photographer should enhance your day, not just be there to document it, but to help you enjoy it.

I’m a super social guy and love to chat, so please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ll call or email you right back.

connection, comfort, and trust

I love meeting new couples and talking about their upcoming weddings. I’m not the shy type of photographer. I’m more of the “let’s make the kids laugh and compliment the guest’s shoes” kind. I don’t want to be a stranger taking photos at your wedding. I want you to feel as comfortable around me as you would with a friend because that’s how we get the best images. I’ll laugh with you, keep you calm, and distract you from the nerves when needed. And when the music starts, you can bet I’ll be right there on the dance floor, camera in hand, getting great shots in the middle of the fun. You’ll find that I’m just as excited about your photography as you are. Let’s work together to capture those magical moments and create something you’ll treasure forever.

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to win awards for my portraiture and to be published internationally as both a photographer and retoucher.

About me (should you wish to know more)

Originally, I trained as a musician, which probably explains why I’ve always been drawn to emotion, atmosphere, and the little in-between moments people often overlook.

Before photography, I worked for years as a professional retoucher and was fortunate enough to have my work published internationally. But it wasn’t until my daughter arrived that photography started to mean something completely different to me.

Like a lot of parents, I suddenly became obsessed with documenting the ordinary things that would one day stop being ordinary. The tiny expressions, the chaos, the quiet moments, the feeling of a particular season of life before it disappears.

That’s a huge part of why weddings mean so much to me now.

There’s something incredibly special about being trusted to document a day people will come back to for decades. Not just the big moments, but the fleeting little ones too. The nervous energy before the ceremony. Someone’s gran laughing in the corner. Your mates losing their minds on the dance floor.

The stuff that becomes more valuable with time.

I also know a lot of people feel nervous about being photographed. Honestly, most people I work with tell me that straight away. I love being able to take something people expect to feel awkward about and turn it into something relaxed, easy, and genuinely enjoyable.

And yes, I absolutely will take any excuse to show you photos of my kids.
