What areas do I cover?


I'm very lucky to live in a lovely little village called Grayswood in Surrey, so I primarily work in Surrey, London, and Hampshire. However, if you simply must have me (who could blame you?) then I'm happy to work further afield. Let's discuss it!


Am I insured?


Most definitely! I have full photographers' insurance and public liability and can produce the certificates for venues if required.


do all collections come with a free engagement shoot?


Not quite. The elegance and the extravagance do, but the essentials unfortunately does not. If you only want to book the essentials, I am happy to book an engagement shoot at a reduced cost. I do prefer to meet my couples in person before the wedding, that way on the day we won't feel like strangers to one another, and with everyone feeling more comfortable, we'll get even nicer photos! The engagement session is free to Surrey, London, and Hampshire but can be done further afield for a small additional charge. You are by no means obliged to take the free shoot if you do not want it (but seriously, it's free - why wouldn't you?).


Are the photos backed up?


Yes, I have a system to ensure your images are not lost. These include backup cameras, all of which have dual memory card slots meaning your images are written to two cards simultaneously. I also upload all images to the cloud pre, and post-editing, and no memory cards are reformatted until all edits are completed and you have downloaded your images. I do also keep all finished wedding galleries stored on both external hard drives and cloud backups.


do I do location weddings?


Yes, please! However, flights and board would have to be covered.


DO I DO elopements?


Definitely. How terribly exciting, to elope with one's love (and me) to a special place to call your own. I'll document the whole thing whilst being barely noticeable. As above, flights and board would need to be covered, contact me and we can discuss more!


are those 3 collections all i offer for weddings?


Yes, too much choice is a bad thing and only makes decisions harder. You've got enough to choose all ready for the wedding day so for me it's simple, do you want me there for 2, 8 or 10 hours. We can however tailor collections slightly if you want some bits from different collections - let's call it a la carte!


when will we get our pictures?


I aim to have all the finished files back with you within 2-3 weeks. I will also make sure to send you a couple of finished and edited photos on the day so you have something to upload to social media before bed.


How do we make payments?


When all is agreed, I will send you an invoice and an e-contract to sign. A deposit is required to secure your date with the remaining balance due 12 weeks before the event date. I'm flexible on payments, so you're welcome to pay in one go, or instalments, whichever works best for you..


what happens if our date changes?


If for whatever reason your date changes I will do my very best to make myself available for your new date. We all lived through covid, and the rescheduling of events is no longer the nightmare scenario it once was. I had one wedding that was rescheduled twice!


Are all pictures retouched?


No. All images will be professionally edited by me and retouching that I deem necessary/reasonable and within reason will be included. Additional retouching on certain images can of course be added and the cost is minimal. The advantage of having an ex-retoucher as your photographer is that if there is anything you are unhappy with, I have far better skills than the average photographer to fix it. Untucked shirt? No problem. Random Passers-by? Consider them gone!
